I love Victoria Secret Pink, it's by far the only store that I can find something cute to add to all my collections. I always tell all of my friends that I should have owned this store just because the simple fact that I am always anxious when I shop there. The bags, beauty products and  lingerie are amazing. I always get my size and the color is always perfect. Most individuals are thrilled with the tag lines that are on the underwear and tee-shirts. They are funny and cute. I also love the dogs which come in a variety of colors.

WAYS WOMEN STAY YOUNG

Women always lie about their age as men always say but they never ever guess the right age of a women because we are the best secret keepers (fact or fiction). Hence I formulated a list of the ways that we as women hide our age.

TEEN VOGUE AND BLACK HAIR OBSESSION

Teen Vogue is the main source for teen celebs secrets about shopping spots, make-up tips, fashion and hair. It is a top seller in the entertainment industry and I'm a main contributor of it. I learn so much about fashion in these tiny books. I recently got a few from forever 21 because I'm a frequent buyer. The main reason I love this book is the bright colored aspect. It's so youthful, fun and exciting.

My first Black Hair Magazine was bought years ago in a Chinese variety store in Philadelphia and ever since that day I've been purchasing them. It not only shows you the latest styles but provides tips about hair care, treatment and products that will treat black hair. There is a wide variety of celebrities throughout the book including Janet Jackson, Jennifer Hudson and Ciara. Keeping your hair up-to-date with the latest trends is ideal.

BEIGES AND GREYS

I have found a new love for natural colors like beige and grey, reason being that I am getting older. No doubt pink is still my favorite color but maturity brings open-mindedness. Beige is one of the main colors displayed on runways for Fashion Week 2010-2011. It also is expressed perfectly and is very charming. From dresses to coats, the softness of the color is alarming. Even when it comes to the different seasons, beige is suitable for all four. An all beige look is super trendy, compliments any skin tone and favors a variety of make-up shades.

Another new found color favorite is grey. Grey is definitely the new black in my book. Grey is the symbolic color of networking, sharing and open ending enterprising. Leading fashion designers like Burberry and Juliette Hoffmann use grey frequently to capture their artistic variations. I wear grey with pink, yellow and blue because it just looks great. Being average is unacceptable in the world of fashion so mixing colors together is recommended.

STYLE WATCH:- CROCHET

It's all about Crochet. Almost every celebrity have been spotted wearing this trend and even though it's seems corny, I love it. I was skeptical at first because I hated the material ever since I was young and it would be all over my chairs...gross. It grew onto me especially the beige pieces. It's a very classy and sophisticated look for women paired with the right jewelry. I would advise wooden bangles or beaded accessories to complete your look but if you have another idea that suits you well then go for it. The number one problem I experienced with the crochet material is the washing options which is mainly hand washing. Oh how I hate hand washed material because it eventually unravels.

SWEETS VS SALTY

So I am having a hard time with maintaining my weight because everywhere I turn I see food. Fast Food outlets and stalls have completely taken over Trinidad and my mum no longer cooks so I have to eat something hahaha. This may sound like I'm lazy but why should I cook when I could just purchase something right. The best part of my unhealthy eating is the fact that I'm not a big fan of sweets. No cakes, ice-creams or candy seems to satisfy my taste buds. I wont say that I would never eat sweets, it's just the fact that I get upset when I'm done chewing. However, I love fried foods. OMG I could eat fries, burgers and anything with cheese or salt whole year.

I just love when cheese melts in my mouth....yummy. I could rant and rave forever but this will not ensure that I live a long healthy lifestyle. I have opt to change this habit because of the continuous announcements about heart diseases, obesity and hypertension. I've been reading books lately about Health and I'm not ready to hear a doctor say that I should stop eating fatty foods....I might catch a heart attack then. I mean it wont hurt to enjoy these foods once or twice a week with a fruit drink or fresh salad.

THE MODERN MOHAWK

Mohawks are absolutely fierce and I am in love with them. Nowadays people try a lot of innovative stuff with their mohawks like braiding the sides or dying them instead of the traditional shaved sides. It is definitely a high maintenance style. I got no problem with that because being yourself is all that matters but following someone else's style just ruptures your identity. I choose the picture of Rasheeda above because she always keeps her mohawk looking fresh and unique. The style is no longer associated with punk rockers because every individual got a wild side. Since fashion has evolved and everyone is trying is establish their personal style, the subculture that was only seen right for a specific group has expanded.

The ballet flat was introduced in the 16th century and until now it's still a main necessity in any fashionistas closet. Ballet flats are popular with girls and women of all ages. They are also a great alternative to heels and they are seen with many tweens and teens at school dances and proms instead of heels. Ballet flats are available in a variety of materials, shades, sizes and they fit comfortably. Stores such as Forever 21 and Aldo carry some reasonable price tags as well so no one has an excuse for not purchasing one. However, since it is recommended by stylist then availability becomes the main problem so start shopping NOW.

CHINA GLAZE CRACKLE NAIL POLISH

You know I always keep my readers aware of the latest nail polish trends and I just had to post up this new collection by China Glaze called Crackle because it is amazing. I am a nail polishaholic and this product is on my 'must have' tab. It is different and daring so I must love it. Celebs are also seen at events sporting this hot accessory. They come in six different colours namely lightening bolt, black mesh, broken hearted, cracked concrete, crushed candy and fault line. My personal favorites are broken hearted and crushed candy but all are super cool. Trust me they are not as hard to apply as they look. Just put a coat of any colour nail polish as you desire then leave to dry. When dried, put a coat of the crackle colour of your choice and wait for it to develop. Yes it's that simple!!!!!

Some men are so talented when it comes to trapping women but some just got no luck. Why are some so successful in their quest to get what they want? I always ask myself the same thing but never seem to get the answer until now. Some men just possess certain qualities that may seem strange to other individuals but is appealing to you. It's not because of their hot bodies or sweet smile it's just the way they put themselves out there. I have talked to so much guys in my life that I can tell his intentions and where the conversation is going next. I am quite a pro when it comes to men and their different, sometimes confusing trials.

1. The Gangster

Yeah this may sound blunt but it's actually true. Women want men who are always incharge and are bosses in their neighborhood. Status is the only main factor that women are drawn too. They often use the slang 'You need a boss chick like me to ride with you since you're a boss yourself'. The gangster type whether they display their love by domestic violence or not, are always loved by women throughout every generation. I guess women don't want wimps anymore since they say little in the world we live in. Leaders are always first in the race because of their personality traits.

2. The Liar

I met some great liars in my lifetime and I would tell you that they are skilled. They can get you to believe anything they say because of the charming smirk on their face. Women basically love men to lie to them because they cant handle the truth. Truth is seen to bring destruction to a relationship so telling a little white lie is encouraged. Women may see the signs but will act as though everything is cool and continue with their lives. Men, on the other hate when women continuously talk and accuse them so they will try their best to get out of the situation quickly before damage actually happens. As a woman, I have heard some of the most comical stories that I have learnt to laugh and brush it off. I just hope I don't meet another liar because I will be furious.

3. The Rich Guy

Men with outrageously huge bank accounts or wealthy parents always seem to get all the girls at the club, events and even at school. Women, because of our nature to have and receive expensive gifts tend to put his bad attributes aside and stick around for the benefits. Yes it's as bad as it sounds. Why is he so eye-catching? Some people would probably don't have to think about that twice since he's always rocking the best brands and eating at the best restaurants hence the gold-digging factor starts to seep through your pores. Money rules most things around us and running away from it is quite hard.

WHY CANT I KEEP AWAY FROM JUNK

I recently went to a restaurant at Trincity mall and ordered the most unhealthy food on the menu and then a huge box of cake, burped and went home feeling heavy and tired. Wow I have really became a junk food addict after shopping that is but I have to take control of this habit before it's too late. I feel so unwelcomed at a fruit stand because I only see healthy stuff but I try to buy a fruit salad at least every week. I mean I fricking love huge bags of fries, burgers with extra cheese, beef pizzas, donuts, wantons and fried chicken. I'm not a soft drink girl which is a plus but the consumption of fatty foods is a bit ridiculous.

So this year I bid to good eating. One of my resolutions was to become a more loving person so I have to love my body more and eat more healthy as well. I'm adding more greens, protein and grains in my diet. I want to ensure that I receive proper nutrition and reject the oily type foods. This will be so hard but it'll prevent heart attacks and obesity in the future. I mean it cant kill me RIGHT. This will also improve my immune system and go great with my daily exercise routine at the gym. I hope for a healthier society but since fast food is now the ultimate substitute for home cooked meals then I could just advise that people consume less of it.

Rihanna's introducing her new fragrance Reb'l Fleur next month with the help of perfume company Parlux at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes. Everyone is so thrilled for the release of the fragrance because the talk  is that it actually smells really good and the scents are infused with Caribbean flavors. I will support this chic.

Most men are always skeptical and anal about the way they look but others could care less how they come out the house. Whether they choose the gentleman, edgy or sporty look, I would suggest that finding a medium is the way to go. Men in suits are just so professional and sexy. I could just grab them up because of the alluring sex appeal. Suits can make an average man look rich and important but in reality he's not. Always make sure that the suit is properly tailored and dry cleaned before wearing.

Another item that can be added to your boyfriend's wardrobe is the motorbike leather jacket. As I said before in a previous blog, "Leather never goes out of style". This trend emerges into the wardrobes of men rapidly and price ranges differ so any individual can purchase one. Eventhough the jackets may come in different colors for women and styles, for men unfortunately, the trend is cliche.

NAIL TRENDS TO ATTEMPT

The very popular Japanese inspired nails aka 3D nails are hitting the fashion scene across the globe by storm. Celebrities such as Keisha Cole and Solange love the style and there are so many to choose from. 3D nail art is a process of creating three dimensional artwork on your fingernails. It is created on acrylic where the nail tech adds colored acrylic to a mold using a paintbrush and waits for it to harden. Once it hardens, the artist removes the 3D nail art from the mold and glues it to the fake fingernails. The most popular designs are flowers, hello kitty, candy and hearts.

Forget about last year's pinks, yellows and blues and focus your mind on the color Greige for your nails. Yes a new term consisting of grey and beige nail polishes and it comes in a light shade namely Basil street pale beige and a darker shade Beanie mushroom nail polish. These are complimentary polishes and is suitable for the job place. It's not too flashy but gives nails a healthy look. It's such a new element to be placed in but experimenting is always fun. I always look at quality music and I hope that she understands the main purpose of getting into the entertainment business and don't get caught up in the Hollywood life. She was signed to Jay Z's label Roc Nation late last year after rejecting Will.I.Am's label.

Cher came 4th in the X-Factor competition but she said that she never wanted to win anyway. She also been known for her diva-esque attitude throughout the show and always reminded them that she would make it anyway, if she stayed or got kicked out. FASHION REPEAT

Fashion is always evolving and we all know that it's always repeating itself also so don't throw away last years's trends until you read what designers are bringing back in 2011. This is also cheaper on the pocket for those who don't got that loaded cash or stocked credit card that your parents continue to refill after a terrible shopping splurge at Bloomingdales or Topshop and for my Trinidadians, Gap and Converse. I been watching 2011 fashion shows online and saw some pieces that were also hot in 2010 so I decided to share them with you. Well platform pumps been with us a long time now and if you think that people will stop wearing them then your wrong. They make your legs look lean and toned benefiting women of all heights. In 2008 we were introduced to the patterned tights trend and from there on we been seeing them worn by celebrities and on the runway. These bold pieces are perfectly matched with cute dresses and also paired with short jeans seen on Meagan Good with boots. There are so many patterns that people could basically have various options.

I always say that the military inspired look is a boss bitch's statement piece. Just by having the big collars and brass buttons is very stand-out-ish. However, the military look not only comes in jackets but dresses and pants also. Different styles to choose from and it's only the beginning of the year. What can we expect next? The last repeated fashion trend of 2010 is the animal print. This style is all over television screens because of shows like Jerseylicious and Jersey Shore where the cast members are obsessed with zebra and leopard prints. If you did not get chance to catch up on the prints last year then this year you can since there are exciting new pieces now to choose from. Leopard prints look stunning on any individual and you can get them in dresses, skirts, trench coats, anything you just name it. 2011 should not be too stressful when it comes to fashion since the major trends continued from 2010 so all I can say is combine appropriately and always be true to yourself when sprucing up.

SO I GOT AN EXTRA TWO WEEKS

I'm not too thrilled about an extra two week vacation but I get more time to reevaluate myself and think about what I really want to achieve this year. Being 21 as of October 24th 2010 was a life changing experience because I actually felt that more is put on me and I know that I have to prove that I can be independent and grow from a seed to a flower and hopefully a tree. I never knew that it would actually hit me that one day I'll move out from my parents home and do things on my own. Reality has struck and this new year brings more positivity and maturity. I decided to take my workout schedule more serious and walk pass those subways and pizza huts on my way to class. Yes as I mature, I have to source the foods that I normally eat and make right choices while at the supermarket. Healthy lifestyle is what everyone wants to achieve but becoming healthy actually takes more than a thought.

I actually decided to put more time and effort in my blogs what I love so much. I started in 2009 with a passion for writing and analyzing celebrities fashion that I don't think that I should stop now. I enjoy everything about my topics and the main factors are pleasure and entertainment. Being happy is always is number one, anything after. I also decided to broaden my blogs but changing the name is difficult so I am leaving Swirly Pop. Fashion was always my first love then come Interior decorating so I am putting more time into my website and giving regular updates.

I brought in the New Year 2011 with family and friends accompanied by cheers of sorrel mainly because I don't drink. I am really thankful for being able to live to see another year and I'm very happy that Chris Brown won best song for Deuces and Mixtapes In my zone one and two but enough about that. I bid good eating in 2011. The two main resolutions I made was to love a little more and get out of debt(shopping). Hahaha that would be a difficult challenge but If I have a strict mind set then nothing is impossible. I am not going to say I hope I find love and settle down finally because I would be lying to myself but that will be one of my goals in 2012 onwards If my life is spared. Toodles.
